On October 7, Haakon and Mette Marit gave an interview to CNN reporter Christiane Amanpour. Fortunately the Amanpour iTunes podcast has the full interview – click here to launch iTunes where you can download it for free. Click here to see a clip on CNN’s website (for some odd reason this does not work in Firefox)

I am so sorry for the lack of updates. I am almost done with school and will have my degree within a couple of weeks, so after that I can update more often.
Lord Frederick Windsor marries Sophie Winkleman
Lord Frederick Windsor married actress Sophie Winkleman (who played a princess in teh short-lived series The Palace) on Sept 12, 2009. According to the Daily Mail, the bride had trouble walking in her wedding dress, lol. Princess Eugenie was one of the few other royals (besides the groom’s parents) in attendance.

Never forget
I just want to say that I am thinking of all those who died on this day, eight years ago, and of the people they left behind. Rest in peace. Let’s hope this never happens again.

Letizia: How to look like a princess
Time magazine’s web site has an interesting article on Princess Letizia’s style.
“Was it the black Armand Basi bubble dress with the yellow flower brooch? The cunning orange sheath with the pleated waist that she wore to receive the heir to the Japanese throne? Or the one-shouldered white cocktail number that she paired this summer in Mallorca with the chunky necklace? It wasn’t that long ago that Letizia Ortiz, 37, tended to dress in the anchorwoman’s power blazers and pastel cardigans. But somewhere along the line, the former journalist has become a fashion icon, coming in number two on Vanity Fair’s renowned Best Dressed List for 2009. That’s what being princess of Spain — or at least getting used to the role — will do for a person.”

Most eligible princes, according to City File
I was browsing just a few minutes ago and came across this article: Know Your Eligible Princes. It only lists four royals, two of whom aren’t technically princes, and one of which is not actually eligible (and neither is their first pick, Harry, if hte rumors are true about him getting back together with Chelsy). Still, it’s an interesting little read.
The following were listed: Prince Harry (his birthday is next week), Pierre Casiraghi (he has a girlfriend named Beatrice), Prince Albert von Thurn und Taxis and Prince Felix of Luxembourg.

Site update
I have added a widget on the left side of the screen – you have to scroll to the bottom to see it. It shows the latest articles at Hello magazine concerning royalty (’statesmen’, or politicians are also lumped in with it, unfortunately). I figure it’s a good way to show the latest news when I’m not posting.
I’m almost done with college, in my last term, so hopefully when it’s finished (about a few weeks from now) I will be more motivated to post more often. I have some stuff I haven’t even posted yet…I might post them soon.
